You’re making the same mistake countless folks have done – that is to create a mask shape and then to paste it onto a layer of a different size. Ensure that both masked layer and position-ed layer are of the same size and you should be fine.

With the versions that you have, you could also Copy the clips while you’re in Premiere. Head on to AE and paste into a Timeline. Do your magic there. Render and pick up the movie when you’re in Premiere.
I prefer the render option when in AE cos not all things AE can be rendered in Premiere with 100% success.
As long as I have a pre-AE sequence and a post-AE sequence in Premiere, I can rest assured that that is well and that there are backups in case things get nasty.

CC Sphere alone will only get you the sphere. For the card standing on the sphere, you’ll have to get into AE’s 3D.
Take a look at Dan Ebbert’s https://www.motioncript.com where he wraps things up in a sphere. With some keyframe gymnastics, you will be able to have your card stand on the sphere. But it’s not going to be easy.
The trick is to have two spheres. One for the ground and the other for the cards. Once you have the cards on the sphere, you’ll have to make them ‘stand up’ by ensuring that their Anchor Point’s ar eat the bottom and then using rotation/orientation to make them stand up.
A Null could be used to animate both spheres.

VP was purchased from a 3rd company. Sadly AE hasn’t added to its functionality since version 5.5(?) when it was purchased/licensed.
another alternative is to look at breaking your logo up into separate parts to overcome the overlapping issue. The Stroke keyframes do not have to be manipulated much at all to make this work.

It could be an OpenGL issue. Goto the preferences setting and try switching it off.

I would look into creating straight lines which are essentially thin Solids and repeating them and offsetting them in space. Then apply Transition->Linear Wipe. Followed by Bezier Warp.

I believe that one or both of these companies licensed the technology. They look identical but have slightly different parameters.
They psunami implmentations share similar traits.
The Foundry has a cloud generator in one of their plugin sets.

YEEEESSHHHH! You’re right! That’s a bad-ass error msg. You may want to reinstall AE if nothing else works. Did you try another AEP?
The thing to do now is to look into whether its and AEP issue or an AE issue. If it’s the latter then a re-install will be ideal. If it’s the former then look into re-creating the stuff in a fresh AEP. You can save the effects into an FFX.
The blurs look like some camera blurring. Do you have a 3D comp setup?

As long as yo uinstall AE8 into a seperate directory, you should be fine with older versions. That’s always been the case with AE, upgrade or new install because there is no such thing as an upgrade in AE. Meaning it’s always an entirely new application.
The exception is with UPDATEs. These will have to be installed into the current folder.
