Some help with spheres
Ok, I’m working on a spot for our local sports coverage. What I’m trying to do, is something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Koy36ue8x6M
It’s not exactly that, but it shares similarties. What I’m having problems with is having images “stick” to the sphere without tedious keyframing. I’m using the 2D cutout look mixed with the rolling sphere. I am using AE 6.5 and CC Sphere is what I have applied to my map. If anyone has suggestions, thanks for sharing.

CC Sphere alone will only get you the sphere. For the card standing on the sphere, you’ll have to get into AE’s 3D.
Take a look at Dan Ebbert’s https://www.motioncript.com where he wraps things up in a sphere. With some keyframe gymnastics, you will be able to have your card stand on the sphere. But it’s not going to be easy.
The trick is to have two spheres. One for the ground and the other for the cards. Once you have the cards on the sphere, you’ll have to make them ‘stand up’ by ensuring that their Anchor Point’s ar eat the bottom and then using rotation/orientation to make them stand up.
A Null could be used to animate both spheres.

Hi,
If you have Invigorator you could easily recreate a similar effect.
Create a sphere, as many planes as needed, place and rotate the planes in the set-up window and map your objects.
