I was going to suggest hacking the Prefs.txt which MAY remove the error message but I first wanted to see what you managed to source from the Web.

mocha is a planar tracker. You’re trying to track an object while in the distance, still exhibits a rather distinct spherical/cylindrical shape – you’re not likely to get acceptable results.

You may try tracking just the edges of the object or even cranking up the levels/curves in AE so that the surface looks flat. Then render out this flattened version for tracking in mocha.In mocha, ensure that you only set the search parameters to track for transforms, ie no shear/perspective.

Hi Thierry, I doubt that editing/hacking the “raytracer_supported_cards.txt” is supported or encouraged by Adobe. I think you should check further, on the Web, to see what other users with your GPU have experienced.

See if you can get AME or PPro to convert ONE file to another format. Try QuickTime PhotoJPEG and see if this works. Then either proceed with the other files if you are happy with the quality or report back with details of your camera and footage.

All you need to do is to animate the transform properties of the object, as a 3D layer.

FWIW, all tracking related keyframes are contained within AE’s Camera. IOW, your inserted object does not contain any keyframes.

Thanks Dan, I actually got it to work by inserting the if ..then conditionals before the last line of your code I posted. However, I needed four lines of code to cover each of the four possible permutations.

I also used
prefix = thisComp.layer("prefixArray").enabled ==1 as my condition.

Your solution works and is of course a lot more elegant. Can you explain what this part

? prefixArray[j] : "";

of your script does?

That number would be dependent on the font and its size that you use, I suggest that you replace the number with an Expression Control slider. It’ll be very quick to discern the magic number for each line of text.
