error reading frame from file with avi files
Hi there,
I would really appreciate your help with this issue:
I’m importing 7 short videos from my dslr camera in ae cs6. they are all in .avi with 24 frames per second. when I put them in my composition and try to ram preview it works for some time, but at some point it shows me this error message: error (4) reading frame from file (86:2) at the file I was previewing. then it starts to happen in all the footage that I imported…
when I restart the computer and ae, it works again for some time and then it happens again, with different footage and at random points of the timeline…
I was looking for a solution and already tried to assure enough ram for preview and multiprocessing…but it didn’t solve it.
It would be great if you could help me with this!

See if you can get AME or PPro to convert ONE file to another format. Try QuickTime PhotoJPEG and see if this works. Then either proceed with the other files if you are happy with the quality or report back with details of your camera and footage.
