Could you check if your dongle is plugged in properly, and is being seen by the Mac? Try plugging it directly into the Mac if you are using a USB extension for your panels, and might have plugged the dongle into that.

If yes, could you please capture logs, and contact our support at davincihelp (at) blackmagic-design.com.

    Hi Jake,

Most of the grading in Resolve is done in its clip mode. The track mode sits on top of everything, a bit like an output lut. We had in fact started out by implementing it on a per track basis but quickly realized it was not working very well as if you move a clip up a track or get a new version which you drop on V2 it doesn’t get the same track grade.

I guess it would be good to have both, a per track grade and an overall.

    Regards,
    Rohit

The decklink extreme 3/3D/3D+ are the officially supported cards right now. Other Decklink cards with SDI output are known to work as well especially when used for monitoring only. However, they are not officially supported at this point of time.

Did you install into a new user account on OSX? Check if the user has write permission in the /library/prefs/BMD/dav../ folder.

It sounds like you are unable to conform and you are just seeing the attached offline clip. You can disable the shine offline clip through gaps option. You need to check why your edl is not matching with the DPX timecode.

Could you please send your logs to davincihelp@blackmagic-design.com?

You can’t switch between v7 and v8 like that. You need to reinstall using the installer to switch.

You can of course use the ATI5770/5870 just on it’s own as well. You don’t need a GT120.

Please do note the limitations of performance, and you are limited to HD resolution files and timeline.

It might be better to get the 5770 instead so that you can upgrade to a Q4000/Mac later when you feel you need more performance, or need to process higher resolution images. The 5870 takes up both the power connectors, and there’s none left for the Q4000/Mac.

On your MBP with 9600/9400, remember to turn off Energy Saver.
