Is it a single Quad, or dual Quad core?

Can you try switching the video monitoring to 8-bit in config page?

This doesn’t look like a standard Mac hardware setup so not sure how I will be able to help you.

In NVIDIA based Macbook Pros, sometimes CUDA will not work if the option in Energy Save for “Automatic Graphics Switching” was enabled. So I would recommend checking that.

When you get that error next, please test with some CUDA utility to make sure CUDA is working.

It might be worth removing the AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext also (after making a backup or just rename).

March 18, 2012 at 11:23 am in reply to: Image Stabilization in Resolve 8.2

    Hi,

I just checked this today, and the stabilization definitely seems to stick for me. As Dmitry points out above, it could be that you might have Basemem’ed this during your grade. If you don’t want to affect the PTZR/Stabilization for color correction basemem, I would recommend setting the “Current Mode” toggle to Color. It’s a 3 way toggle, All/Color/PTZR. It can be accessed in the Session Menu. The timeline at the bottom right of the color will indicate which mode you are in currently.

    Regards,
    Rohit

March 18, 2012 at 11:17 am in reply to: DaVinci Red HDR Files in REAL TIME

I presume you are using Epic full 5K HDR footage. This currently requires a little over 1 rocket for one stream, and HDR is two streams, so you need a little over 2 rockets, which is 3.

If you don’t have full 5K, lower vertical resolution than 2700, you might be able to do it with 2 rockets.

If you are using software decode, then you will need fast CPUs and a low decode resolution, 1/8th perhaps.

March 18, 2012 at 11:15 am in reply to: Reconnecting footage back to the media pool

Use the “Change Parent Dir” function in the media pool.

  • There is a function in the Session menu – “All/Color/PTZR”. There is also a button on the control surface called Current Mode I believe.

This control the behavior of a few things:

    1. Basemem – will reset all, current node, or sizing
    2. Add Mark/Dynamics – will add to all, current node or PTZR/Sizing
    3. Copying grade from stills and memories – will copy both, color or sizing only

    Hope this helps!

March 17, 2012 at 9:33 am in reply to: Resolve conform with gaps

Resolve should be able to load an non-continuous EDL, e.g. an EDL with gaps in the middle.

Is it possible to use your Edit program to export the EDL without those BL events?

Else BL is treated as a black clip!
