  • The PC version of GTX 570/580 both seem to work with the new driver in 10.7.4. Same as 10.7.3.

Right click on the thumbnail and switch to the local version just for that clip.

You don’t need the beta 2 update for CUDA support. Just install OSX 10.7.4 update, and the NVIDIA driver update (if required).

It seems there is still an issue in this update with OpenCL cards and 10.7.4. Please hold-off on the update unless you absolutely need it.

We’re investigating the issue, and we hope to have a fix soon.

The CUDA cards do not have any known issue at this point of time.

    Hi Gabriele,

The GTX 580 (PC) version needs a 6-pin and a 8-pin power. The Mac Pro only has two 6-pin power cables for the GPUs.

You can easily just use a GTX 570 which only needs two 6-pin power cables. Pair it with a GT 120 and it gives you plenty of CUDA performance.

If you need more power, you can use Cubix with 3 NVIDIA GPUs, and a more powerful GUI card.

    Regards,
    Rohit

You should not be able to change the conform rate after you have clips in the media pool, and you have sessions created.

If you have already colored your project, setup a new one, and use color trace to copy grades across, or use the gallery stills.

The stills need to be one of the supported formats, DPX, TIFF, EXR, CinemaDNG etc.

One of the things to take note is the filename should contain a number, as Resolve is designed to handle image sequences, and you can’t have a sequence without a number in it, e.g.

    still00.tif
    still01.tif
    still02.tif

    etc.

Is your conform rate set correctly in the config page?

  • The FCP7 sizing is treated as dark metadata in Resolve. The main reason is that those controls don’t map one-to-one with our controls.

The only control you have in Resolve is to switch off them globally when importing the XML, or on a clip by clip basis in the color page thumbnail context menu.

    Rohit
