Okay, I’m able to add clips to the media pool and am well on my way in learing how to grade. But I can’t seem to be able to add stills to my media pool. My stills are all the common garden varieties, and I can import them and add them to the stills store by way of the color panel, but not through the front door. What gives?

    Thks, gary

The stills need to be one of the supported formats, DPX, TIFF, EXR, CinemaDNG etc.

One of the things to take note is the filename should contain a number, as Resolve is designed to handle image sequences, and you can’t have a sequence without a number in it, e.g.

    still00.tif
    still01.tif
    still02.tif

    etc.

I’ve tried putting a sequence number on, and they are Jpegs I’m trying to get on the timeline. Digging deeper into the manual it looks like importing stills onto the timeline is unsupported. Am I understanding this correctly?

Did you try to convert them to .tif files?

Interesting that you mentioned this. I have been successful in getting an image with a tif extension onto the timeline. I will give this approach a go. Thanks.
