May 15, 2012 at 1:21 pmCan you explain a bit more, what is the last supported cuda driver, and nvidia driver ?
I dont know really if we have to update to the last nvidia driver -> https://www.nvidia.com/object/macosx-270.00.00f06-driver.html?ClickID=bmumuzydu1klzzez1vegqsmdumygyf1klgyg or still using the 10.7.4 driver.
Is there any improvements in performance ?

May 15, 2012 at 2:02 pmIt seems there is still an issue in this update with OpenCL cards and 10.7.4. Please hold-off on the update unless you absolutely need it.
We’re investigating the issue, and we hope to have a fix soon.
The CUDA cards do not have any known issue at this point of time.

May 15, 2012 at 2:47 pmso for cuda cards just have the latest driver installed (4.2.7) and THEN update to 10.7.4 w/ 8.2.1 OR should we just go ahead and get the beta version?

May 15, 2012 at 3:04 pmYou don’t need the beta 2 update for CUDA support. Just install OSX 10.7.4 update, and the NVIDIA driver update (if required).

May 15, 2012 at 4:49 pmAny chance there could be a document/matrix on your website that would show what versions of OS and drivers that are recommended for each version of Resolve?
It’s hard to know which versions of drivers (Red rocket, Blackmagic cards, Graphic cards) and OS actually work and have been tested with each new version of Resolve.
The config guides are great, but they are not updated with each version of Resolve so it’s hard to know if which information to follow (the guides, or posts here on the Cow).
I try to scan the posts here on the Cow but they don’t seem to be comprehensive for all versions of Resolve. It would be very helpful.
thanks,

May 16, 2012 at 1:10 amn-thing this idea!
Every release, beta or not, should have explicit listings of certified driver versions for the Desktop Video, RED Rocket and CUDA drivers in the README file.

May 16, 2012 at 1:50 amMaybe if BMD is reading this it could be something to add with the V9 release?
Not having to chase around forums and bug your support team for what we need to update to and just get back to work, i think a lot of users would appreciate this.
Thank you
