I think that’s as good as you can get. It does not matter however what preview setting you have. On older versions of Vegas grabbing an image did depend on your preview setting but that does not matter anymore. You’ll get the same image if the preview is set on auto or best.
If you put the image into photoshop and use the “unsharp” mask, you can squeeze out a bit better image.
I’m not sure on this but the resolution will always be 72dpi on the video. Maybe someone will clarify that.

There’s a new plugin with Vegas12 called “color match” that works pretty good although I’ve never been able to use it on the track level.
Other than that, I usually use “color corrector” to visually match up colors.

I too purchased a new video card to take advantage of the GPU and I seldom have trouble rendering to an MXF format. Only once in a while does it hang up.
I think I may be one of the lucky ones.

I’d suggest to set your preview/auto instead of half.
You know that doesn’t change the quality when you render.

NewBlue V6 also have a plugin called Tile which can do a whole variety of onscreen multiple images.

I’m not sure what good a stand alone application would be because in the end you want the video and audio to go on your Vegas timeline.
Why not just stay with the PluralEyes that’s made for Vegas?

I think PlurlEyes 3 is just for Macs. Version 2.0.3 is for the PC.
I’m pretty sure they haven’t upgraded PluralEyes for PC for some time.

Can this be done with Vegas? Using some of the settings in track motion? I’ve never really understood those “overlay, subtract, multiply” etc. settings.

Kelly, I’m eager to hear what you have in mind.
What about a soft focus look just by creating a mask with a soft edge and doing a bit of a blur.
