Hi Stephen,
I’ve learned many moons ago about not using the term clip but the term is a common one so it must mean something. Can you tell me exactly what a clip is.
ThanksRoger Bansemer

I have this all the time as well. What I do is use a combination of levels and curves. Levels comes first in the chain.
I set the levels to 100 and 0 and then go over and do some finer adjustments with the curves. That sometimes brings the levels back up over 100 at times then it’s necessary to go back to the levels and bring it down a bit.Roger Bansemer

April 2, 2013 at 12:40 pm in reply to: Horrible 360p quality compared to other YouTube usersI’m pretty sure it’s a mistake to jump in here but I don’t think “figure it out yourself” is what this forum is all about.
I’ve been working with Vegas for years and I’m still confused at times. It’s not always easy to explain what is going wrong. That’s why people ask and do their best in at least trying to explain.I hope this doesn’t start any big discussion on manners. Please…

Put your icon in Photoshop and reduce the size there to something more manageable then you can reduce it once you get it on the timeline to the size you want easier.
Then take the image of your image on your timeline and click the pan/crop icon. Once the pan/crop opens, right click the image and a drop down will appear. Choose “match output aspect”
That will keep it from disappearing off the screen.Roger Bansemer

I’m often getting that X between tracks when I’m in multicamera mode. I’m doing a ripple edit or something and accidentally hit a key to get that expanded mode and it wasn’t the number 5 key. I just don’t know what key it was since it’s always hit by accident very quickly. Anyone know how I keep opening up that up and often the 5 key doesn’t close it. I have to collapse my multicamera mode to rid it.

Since no one has answered yet, I’ll give it a try.
Render out your lower third as a mov file.
Then drop it back on your timeline. Once you do that right click on your event and go to the media tab. Then check the “alpha channel” box to Premultiplied or one of those.Roger Bansemer

There’s a great app that works as an “extension”. I use it all the time. You can render your project and it automatically uploads it to youtube.
It’s called “video4youtube”Roger Bansemer

If you’re using the denoise feature, if you sample it in the advance mode, you can better seperate the tonal(voice) from the broadband (background) a bit better.
Also check the “output noise only” box and slide things around until you start to hear too much voice. When you start to hear voice you know your cutting into the voice and it will begin to sound hollow.Roger Bansemer

I have a Sony D50 that is very nice and you can get a wind screen for it as well.
