Thanks Steve. That did it. I appreciate the help.

I’ve tried that and I can make it go faster but when I move it to go slower, it snaps back to normal speed.

Vegas does have the ability to do Closed Captioning but it’s totally impossible to use unless you were doing something like a 20 second spot.
The only and best way to do your closed captioning is to get John Rofranos “Caption Assistant”
    It’s a fantastic plug-in.
Keep in mind, someone still has to make a master tape to apply the captioning.

I agree with Steve. The latest version Mercalli is fantastic. As far as Vegas 11 goes, I’m staying away from it for a while even though I purchased it. I’ve had problems with it and I know many others have as well. I’ll start using it when the bugs get worked out.

I used Vegas 11 and in my case rendering was not an issue but by using the New Blue text editor, my preview slowed to a crawl where it was almost impossible to view.
    Anyone else had this issue?

You can also grab those small dots at the top left of the window and “undock” the window. That way you can make it any size you want and move it around. To re-dock it, just place it back in the area you got it from or you can move it to another area to dock.

October 23, 2011 at 5:04 pm in reply to: Constant Vegas 10 crashes…again

I had a major problem with crashes because I had “Izotope” installed and had used it on several clips. It got fixed after a long time after finding out I didn’t have the most current version of quicktime installed which Izotope apparently takes advantage of.

When you captured your video through Vegas it should have already made numerous clips or “events” each time you shot a scene. Be sure you have this checked when capturing.

That does make sense and I just got an email a few minutes ago from Sony with a link with better descriptions to the new features.
However, when I select a range of clips from the timeline and then right click on the sync link as it says to do, the “unlink” and “select all” feature is grayed out. So I’m still missing something.

It does sound like a good feature because sometimes my multicam clips get a bit mixed up and out of sync if I’m not careful.
