I’ve been rendering .mov files for a project to send out and I’m not able to view any .mov qicktime files at all on my computer. My media player opens but it’s just black. Would this be the solution for me as well.
    Thanks

Wow! That was quick for an answer. I’m getting a number of pictures using this method with black lines on the top and bottom. Looking at the picture in pan/crop it has changed the aspect ration but on the preview window a black line appears on the top and bottom. The only way to rid it is to restore the pic and change the aspect on each offending picture.
Not a big deal. I’ll just go in and change them manually.

That seems to be the answer. Copying and pasting from 32bit to 64bit or visa versa does not work. I opened two instances of Vegas with the same bit rate and the copy/paste works. Who would have guessed that!
    Thanks for the help.

I’m only guessing here but PMB really does a great job at previewing clips smoothly. It never fails to do so. However, Vegas unless you have a very fast computer doesn’t preview the same clips with near the speed that PMB does.
I can’t figure out why Vegas can’t use the same engine or whatever it is they use to preview.
If you’re new to Vegas, the only thing to do is set your preview window in Vegas to “Preview (Auto)”

Keep in mind that in the future if you get windows7, it will view and batch rename files.
I can’t figure how PMB names files in the first place. The numbering doesn’t make sense at all to me. I do like the quality that PMB can convert video into stills. Much better than using Vegas even when setting Vegas to the highest preview quality and enlarging the picture in vegas.

    Thanks Mike.
Will this change my original veg file which I want to keep intact. I don’t want that to happen.

John is right. Personally I had to buy a new computer with a duel quad core I7 processor which was expensive but it was the only thing that would allow me to view the video in Vegas. It is unfortunate and it seems like this sort of thing should be told a bit better before someone buys Vegas.

It bothers me a bit too. I have never had a copy of Vegas that wasn’t purchased from Vegas with my own name. I felt like I was buying someone elses copy when it came to that registration field.
I just typed over it with my name, etc. and it registered. I also have an account with Sony stating my other purchases.
    It’s really strange.

I included the snapshot in my post and to me it looks like it is toggled to be on.
