October 8, 2016 at 6:20 am in reply to: Duik Character Rig Warp/broken when reopening saved projectthese are probably illustrator or Ps files correct? did you happen to change the names of the layers? do they have unique names? keep in mind that keeping your layers with unique names can save you problems later on (not just with Duik).

in Photoshop (and I assume InDesign) you have justification option in the paragraph panel

in After effects you don’t have this menu. you only have a value parameter or the default “auto” (which is also 120%). you can type the leading numerically or select from predefined values. it will remember these settings of any text you create afterwards.

if that’s not flexible enough you could create the text with the justification parameters you desire in Photoshop, import it to After effects and then convert the text to editable text by right clicking on the layer -> convert to editable text. now you will have an editable text layer with auto leading set to whatever percent you have chosen in Ps.

Those are called light leaks or film burn. You can find many of those online. Just place them above your footage with the blend mode set to screen and you are done.

[Eugene Constable] “Also In AE cc2015.3 they have improved the camera tracker a bit – you can set ground plane and origin on a right click.”
this feature is actually there since CC 12.0 – (2013)
https://blogs.adobe.com/creativecloud/improvements-in-3d-camera-tracker-in-after-effects-cc-12-0/about scaling your scene – you can (like Andrew demonstrates in the tutorial) create a 3D null and attach the camera and all the 3d layers you created through the 3D camera tracker and scale the null, then delete the null. now you can scale your layers up if needed and have more reasonable pixel measurements for everything.

[Max Gurel] ” but I’m on CC 2015.4 and I can’t find the prefs.txt file.”
there is not 2015.4 for After effects. if you want to locate the preferences file go to edit->preferences and at the bottom you will have a comfortable button to go straight to it

BTW if you don’t want to mess with the preferences file and don’t mind resetting it completely you could just use the reset preferences command: https://blogs.adobe.com/kevinmonahan/2013/10/15/reset-after-effects-preferences/

yes. you can search with the timeline search bar like this:

is there a specific case where you can’t use it for searching?
