    Hi,

I am currently making a montage video for a project. I would like to include an effect. I am sorry but I’m not very sure what its called either but it looks something like 0:05 – 0:07 and 1:15 – 1:18 of this video . Its those colour grading background flashes. I would like to know what its called and how to achieve it and if possible, a link to a tutorial on how to do it would be very helpful

Here is the video I am talking about

    Any advice hugely appreciated.

    Regards,

    Alan

Those are called light leaks or film burn. You can find many of those online. Just place them above your footage with the blend mode set to screen and you are done.
