Apparently not. I don’t think that that age old version of XML even had a word for “multicam”, so there little it could be included as information. Or PPro works with an even older version, which I’d say is the most likely scenario.

He is “Chief Architect for Video Applications”, yes. And rumor has it, that one day, according to Josh Mellicker, “while going through his footage he realized that the standard UI paradigm of Avid/Premiere/Final Cut/Vegas/Liquid/etc. (all somewhat similar in media management) were not an ideal environment for the very first step in post-production: organizing raw footage.” A need or “epiphany” from which, yes, iMovie ’08 initially sprung to life from. The rest is history as they say.
In a broad sense I guess you could say that iMovie (in terms of its paradigm and various features) was a secret “public beta” for the fine-tuned development of X. Until iMovie v10, where it IN FACT became a miniature version or FCP X, or basically the new “FC Express” if you will. Kinda the reverse of the previous development path.

Really? But then don’t you think people would be asking themselves “What do these have to do with my search term?”? I mean, I don’t know anywhere where it works that way (e.g. Finder), so that would be rather unique and probably even more confusing behavior, no?
But then maybe they thought “Do we just show everything… or tell them that nothing matches?” and thought the latter makes more sense, albeit any possible PEBKAC situations. ;-D

If you look at the four year history of X, you’ll see two distinct patterns:
a) the update cycle has always been between 3-4 months
b) with few exceptions they were always released on A TUESDAY.You do the math. For me that means yes, another update is coming eventually (huge surprise, I know), but certainly not on that day. And not only because it’s a Monday. That’s just not how Apple rolls or has rolled to date.

I’d say it’s a huge stretch to assume anything else… unless of course you simply wanted to. In which case…
Never mind that 99.x% of Apple’s patents never even see the light of day as an actual product, nor is a patent file some sort of source for reality even by the same stretch. As if one could even muster up the most obscure scenario where this could pose as some sort of GAIN for the iPhone, let alone Apple. I’d say “far fetched” doesn’t even begin to describe it.

Mind you, not only have they dropped the price of everything to ridiculously low prices, they are even having a 30% off of everything sale for another week, yes… so that’s even 30% MORE off of the aforementioned ridiculously low prices. The pro bundle at $100 is a complete no-brainer imho.
And the handling from within the mObject app is realtime, even with some of the most complex objects. AND you can add drop zines and more at your leisure.
So if Motion/FCP X and 3D is your thing, this is the plugin/app you want to get.

Whereby that’s actually (part of) a feature not a bug. Because those unlimited undos in FCP have to go somewhere (which would technically qualify as “unsaved” as mentioned above). But I personally have never had that lead to a CRASH either. Slowing, yes.

Just for the record… thanks to OS X’s dynamic memory management (and compression), as long as you don’t have any HUGE unsaved files open in any, then you could technically have as many apps open as you wanted, and it would (i.e. shouldn’t) hardly make any difference in RAM usage overall. 😉
