Any chance of timeshuffler_std for ae6.5?
I simply can’t afford a legal upgrade to 7!

Thanks for your replies.
Unfortunately being a charitable setup we don’t have the luxury of a pro audio field producer. I have also read elsewhere that using a limiter is more effective and less destructive on tracks than normalising.
For TV broadcast we average our voicetracks to around -12dB.

Thanks Mark. Very encouraging!
I have always struggled with this client since they don’t respect the craft of graphic design. Afterall, anyone with a PC and some fonts can do branding right? He’s a nice guy but AAAARRRGGHH…’Just let me use my expertise to HELP you”
There is a point I have to let go and let some other designer have the battle (I successfully designed the initial branding – on-air, print and web)

Yeah. I’m working on more.
Ayato’s more recent tutorials are more substantial with more vital keyframe info included.
Are you on Windows or Mac? I have tested the link and it seems to work ok on my G5…hmmm…

I’d use Trapcode Particular. Never, ever as good as footage but for a few seconds it can pass.

I will try your suggestions but I kind of solved it. I produced a particle system using the word as the emitter then used Turbulent Displace with an alpha matte over a smoke stream I made in Motion.
There is an anti-smoking TVC that runs here in New Zealand and the smoke streams off the cigarette and writes words in the air while still remaining ‘stringy’.

Thanks Steve.
Yeah. I found it almost immediately after posting. Duh! I guess use the write-on to transition images simply means a pre-comp or nesting and using alpha mattes.

Currently I use Premier Pro 2 and it does a quick, clean job of each project from bringing in mpeg2 files to outputting same. The Adobe Media Encoder makes the task effortless.
FCP was purchased primarily to allow me to edit and I have no problem with using Compressor. It seems FCP is made for high end programme cutting and movies rather then mundane day-to-day promo and menu board production.
The tv station here does use a hardware encoding solution for converting its programmes and old movies.

What amount of noise or scatter?

Sorry. Didn’t realise the files were in the podcast section!
