    Thanks for your great suggestions.
I recently put together a Joomla site for a commercial client. Great cms but the setup can be tricky.

This is one of those Homer Simpson “doh!” moments.

After posting I realised I was talking about the wrong preset group.
The Cinema Pro presets operate like any other preset – Drop on to a video layer.

The other preset group was one I downloaded from the Adobe Exchange and simply requires the preset to drop onto the comp window BUT NOT the layer. So it creates a new animated Shape layer.

    DOH!

maybe parent both the object and particle layer to a null then parent that null to the camera null?

    Success!

CC plugs are only available once the serial number is used rather than the trial version.

I have decided to use the excellent fluid sim in Blender instead as this project is much easier to setup with this app and much quicker to render.

    Thanks for your reply.

I do have a precision set and after further web searching found that the screw only needs loosening (not removing) then use paper clip to gently lever off the cover.

    Worked like a charm!

Thanks for your exhaustive reply Rob. Awesome!

I found that trashing the preferences and the cached files did the trick.
And switching off my processor-intensive screensaver!

I have found a previous thread in which you thoroughly answered the question. whoops!
My only question – what aspect ratio do I format the mp2 out of DVD Studio Pro? 4:3 or 16:9?

    Hi David

Well I spent the afternoon trawling through the 4 volumes of FCP manual and I am still at a loss of what Compressor setting to use – DVD Best Quality 90min -16×9?

The manuals jump all over the place regarding Compressor with little explanation of the settings.
