    there are a number of open source cms tools out there written in php – your best bet is to google cms and php and you’ll find most of ’em…

    I suggest Zimplit CMS (zimplit.org). It´s just one file and you can set up your site in seconds. Also you can use any free html/css template

    RuubikCMS is targeted for lightweight and small sites and it only requires PHP 5.1 (no external database as it uses SQLite). It’s open source and can be downloaded from:

    Thanks for your great suggestions.
    I recently put together a Joomla site for a commercial client. Great cms but the setup can be tricky.
