You might want to ask Deluxe if they have a Lin to Log LUT that they can provide which is based on their film recording process. Typically you would grade in a calibrated environment with a LUT which has been made by the lab which take into account the film recorder used and the printing lights and the print bath on the film processor. This would get you very close to the look of the final film print output.

I would love be able to full screen the animation window and the node window. And while they are at it how about a spline based key-frame system for the animation. I really think the old DUI/2K window needs an update.

One thing I found with the Euphonix is that it seems to work better in Ethernet #1 on the Mac-Pro. I had one running with Color before Resolve and using the port 1 ethernet seemed to clear connectivity up for me.

No I think it will only use one GPU and it is limited to two nodes so you can’t exactly go grade and window crazy with it. Supposedly even the full version runs OK on the Thunderbolt MBP and iMac computers…

I loaded Resolve Lite on my 15″ (older 5,1) with a 24″ cinema display. It works (barely ;-)) and if you have a newer machine with Thunderbolt there is video I/O now and it could be a pretty good machine for basic grading…
