I have an Ultrascope in a little PC and have gone to using Resolve’s scopes recently. I have not really seen a slowdown with the Resolve scopes but I have GPU power to burn in the machine I put together.
I think one issue with Ultrascope in the same machine as Resolve is that they will both be competing for GPU power but maybe the Ultrascope would just use the GUI GPU?? I have a slot open on mine maybe I will try it one day..
Scopebox is really great I have it running on two Telecine suites. I wish he would further develop it into a more hi end app the scopes are some of the best looking and most responsive of any software scopes I have seen.

Mike, Ultrascope is now cross platform for the PCIe version and Windows only for the USB3 version…
And yes it is really supposed to be run in it’s own system. Plus where would you put the extra card in a Mac-Pro? Ultrascope runs nicely in a little Windows machine with a reasonable nVidia card…

Do you have a second monitor for the waveforms? If so unplug it and they should “reappear” on the other monitor. Turn them off and then re attach the second display and turn them back on and reposition. Worked for me once.

The Resolve installer will install the Decklink driver and you should keep that driver and not update it to the latest version, according to Blackmagic. The Resolve installer will also install the CUDA driver and if you go to the OSX System Preferences and click on CUDA the driver version will be displayed there and it will automatically connect to check for an updated CUDA driver.

The Light-Space calibration plugin which allows LightSpace to control the CC timeline to play out patches for calibration.

I am just finishing a 5 reel feature which was edited in Avid and conformed in Resolve from five EDL’s and 2K 35mm scan media from an Arriscan. I have very little issues with the whole process there were a few clips on a revised first reel I had to fix but that was mostly due to how we scanned the needed extra frames for that reel.
What kind of EDL are you sending to Resolve? I am using CMX 3600 on this are there multiples of the media in the media pool?

OFX would be huge and I would love to see Steve Shaw’s LightSpace plugin work with Resolve…
