I guess that all I would say is that if you have calibrated the display as best as possible then you probably have a decent chance of having it be ok. I wouldn’t want t grade a feature like this but for basic work it seems like it could pass, especially if it’s an on set quick look grade.

I wouldn’t count on using the UI window for anything but the most basic and coarse grades, understanding that there will be no real calibration accuracy.

Not recommended but it is possible to use a “consumer” display if it is calibrated. You could get a local ISF calibrator to adjust it and see how close you could get to Rec-709 with that. Ideally you would get the display profiled and build a 3D LUT to load into Resolve as a display LUT which would get you allot closer than the basic ISF calibration.

I have not ever heard of RR card rentals, I would think that that service would be rare due to the relatively delicate nature of a PCI card.

YOu have to set this before you load a edl or create a timeline, you might have to make a new project to get it to work.

I have exported 25fps projects as 25fps You have to have the settings set right for 25fps. Se the playback framerate and the timecode options both to 25fps in the setup screen and you will be able to render out 25fps.

You don’t need a special screen to setup a dual projector 3D system but you do need to be able to align the two projectors exactly which can be difficult to do without losing allot of light output. You would just have to feed the SDI outputs (L and R) to each projector and add polarization to each such that each projectors polarizer matched the polarizer in the glasses. I really don’t understand why you would want this solution over using a 3D capable projector with active glasses.

The problem with the iMac is that it has an ATI video card and that cannot be changed. Resolve needs nVidia CUDA cards (and multiple cards ideally) to work as a realtime system. There may be a thunderbolt external GPU solution in the future but even that will be limited in performance by the lack of bandwidth of thunderbolt. If you want a high performance system you really need a Mac-Pro or PC based system.

What machine is it in and what slot? Do you have a GT-120 as your GUI card? Resolve installs the CUDA drivers it needs to run.
