Is there a way after you’re done with the project to bring all the clips into the “Original Media” folder?

I didn’t want to clutter my hard drive with duplicate video files from the beginning of the project. But, I need to archive my project so I can edit in the future.

I’m using Toast Titanium.

I have a 2TB drive for my videos.

I have another 2TB drive just for my projects.
I keep all my graphics, photos and other stuff in the right FCP Events folder.

I then burn just the Events and Projects folder onto a Blu-Ray disc.

This is where I found out how hard it is to reconnect media using FCPX. I hope that the new version fixes this.

I don’t get it. Installing the motion templates isn’t hard.

Thank you for working on an app that I’m sure is great! Please just let us know what we would be missing if we didn’t use it.

can you make a mask without a background.
what i’m trying to do is take two video tracks and place them on top of one another and adjust the top layer using the mask. thanks!

I love FCP X and can’t imagine my life without it. You can read the history of my questions I have asked on this board and they have all be answered.

You could say I’m an Apple fan boy but that is OK. It works and I love it.

I use https://www.fcp.co as a good resource for other FCP X editors.
Also this site too.

wow that works.
unfortunately not all affects can be treated as such.
I’m trying to used cropped video for a lower third and some transitions are only meant for full screen video.

thank you for the work around. hopefully apple will realize this and find a “simple” solution for it.

This is happening to me too. It’s really frustrating. On FCP 7 you could apply a transition to any layer.
