Question about speeding up computer for playback
Posted by Robert Bracken on February 3, 2012 at 4:30 pmWhen I’m trying to manipulate templates, they play so slowly on my computer. We have fast Mac Pros. What can I do to make the graphic play in real time?

February 3, 2012 at 4:38 pmMotion leverages the GPU on your graphics card so that is the key factor in performance. Upgrading the card can help quite a lot, but depending on the project, you may never be able to play back in real time without first rendering (Command-R). Lowering resolution and/or quality and soloing layers can help.

February 3, 2012 at 6:19 pmI’ve also noticed that having motion blur on can REALLY slow things down. Lights, reflections, stuff like that also slows it down quite a bit.

February 3, 2012 at 8:28 pmIt’s the infamous Mark Spencer! Great website ripple training.com and the others.
I remember you had a video where you briefly addressed it. It would be helpful for you to make a video all about soloing channels and the like. Thanks,
Bobby
