Yikes! That seems like a lot of work. Just so you know, the GY-HC500 when using XDSC card, you can turn OFF file spanning which will support up to 64GB file size.

I know that doesn’t really answer your question, but for future reference it will hopefully allow you to avoid this extra workflow.

The only way I’ve been able to resolve this type of issue in the past was to convert everything to Apple ProRes (MOV) low compression, and then do everything via proxies and finally do NOT use any hardware acceleration … then go ahead with any edits. I’m making the assumption you’re running 2 channel audio.

Ease Out on keyframe is very easy in Resolve, right click the keyframe and select “Ease Out”.

I would try operating at 60 Hz refresh.

If you have an HDMI option and cable, try that also.

But do check your GPU/VRAM frequency and temps first, easy test, easy to reduce slightly to see if that solves it.

I’m almost certain this is a problem with your GPU (Nvidia Geforce RTX 4080 Super 16GB GPU). Couple of recommendations:

What are you using to read RAM usage? I’ve used those two FX and more and never got to 32GB usage. The biggest memory usage I get is when I start using Mocha and do a lot of tracking.

Not to mention both Blur and Warp are GPU supported/accelerated.

Even HDR doesn’t impact RAM that much.

Do you have some plug-in that might have a memory leak?

Try the free version of Davinci Resolve and decide for yourself. That’s what I did when I moved from Adobe to DaVinci … used a project I knew was having issues in Adobe Pr and replicated it in DaVinci … it was such a great performance experience and overall workflow improvement, I paid my $295 for DaVinci Resolve Studio (one time charge).

Depends on what you edit and file sizes … you’ll not see a huge difference between top end Gen4 M.2 vs. Gen5 M.2 but since you’re building new system, the price difference isn’t that significant $260 for 2TB Gen5 vs. High speed Gen4 2TB at $160.

The DDR5 performance will help. H.265 Adobe doesn’t like for timeline editing, I’d convert that to a ProRes flavor before starting a project.

Vote for Option 1 also … I still use Adobe Pr but only “in the office” per project requirements (otherwise DaVinci Resolve for majority projects). Pr 2024 is not going to make things less stable, in fact likely the opposite. Also Pr 2024 has higher list of requirements both OS and hardware.

Did you unlink/decouple the audio track from the original 30 fps video?

Have you tried rendering out audio only from the original 30 fps video and then place that rendered out audio in your 25 fps video sequence?

You shouldn’t need to modify the sample rate … in fact you don’t want to.

A few options:

Based on limited info, suggest ProRes 422 (no need for HQ) or H.264 MP4.

Otherwise, you’ll need to interrogate each media file source to determine lowest common denominator and go with that. If Pr doesn’t provide enough search for “Media Inspector Tool” … free and very useful.

The selection of which ProRes flavor to use will vary based on how the original footage was captured.

No point in using ProRes 4444 (XG) if you aren’t capturing with it … things like 12bit per channel color support, 16bit Alpha.

Many captures are ProRes 422 HQ … very common.

H.265 for HEVC would be my choice.

BUT, need to know:

1. How large a display and what’s it’s resolution and expected view distance?

2. Your client hardware (device displaying the footage).

3. Media in which you plan to transfer the footage.
