Yeah.. I mean this new driver compared to the last one is like night and day.

I couldn’t even conform an SD spot on the last driver without getting an exhausted memory error.

Now.. near real time R3D footage..

    Ah ha!

    That did it.

    Thanks Dan!

Guess we didn’t have the newest drivers installed after all.

    Yeah,

We are getting “GPU memory exhausted” in the conform room for R3D files.

Computer reads the Quadro 4000 in Slot 1 in the config system profiler.

Yes, it seems that if you are going to animate more than 2 points (A-B) you need to do it in sequential order. If you try to place a point in the middle it will reset or something.

I’d like to know if theres something I’m missing as well.

Nice research!..That is a lot of steps to complete something that I can do in one step, 5 years ago?

    BMD, XML support please!

Yes I could cut the QT up in Resolves Scene Detector, but because of the white flash fades, tons of cross dissolves etc that I’ll be building on top of the grades, it makes more sense to go back to FCP.

I suppose we could get a 4000 and when more processing power is needed get another 4000.

Although the second 4000 would not affect processing speeds? only UI quickness?

Oh, we had the 8800 laying around, but from what I hear it does not support Cuda on mac?

Anyone using the pocket ultrascope? Does that still require an extra computer to run? (that might cut down on price)

Yes.. for that kind of money if they were to each throw in a custom control panel that would be great.

That’s one of the things that is great about Nucoda, DaVinci, Baselight, Lustre, Pogle, Pandora, (any others with custom panels?)..

They each have a well designed flag ship panel that makes a statement in the suite.
