    Thanks for your responses,

Answers- Yes, and Yes. Re-installed, upgraded, re-upgraded drivers, and have trashed preferences so many, many times.
It occasionally will cut out a couple times, but eventually get past it. Other times, it will be like the following–

PLAY — Audio mutes at 17 sec — refresh
PLAY — Audio mutes at 14 sec — refresh
PLAY — Audio mutes at 1 sec — refresh
PLAY — Audio mutes at 3 sec — refresh
    PLAY — Audio mutes at 2 sec — refresh….

You see how frustrating it gets?

I’m currently working wiht AJA to have it swtiched via warranty. Hopefully it’s io box specific. Will let you know how it goes with the replacement.

    Hey there,

thank you for the fast response. It looks like the software upgrade fixed the fcp crash. Now I just need to remedy dvdsp 4. If it come to a fresh install, so be it. Thanks again.

    Thanks for the feedback,

Not sure what camera package will be used. I’m simply budgeting the post side of things while the camera package has already been assembled (I think it will be a JVC camera). Whether they use 24p or 30p is uncertain.
This thing might be for a Football franchise, but I sitll don’t know how big or frequent production will be to necessitate a KONA drive. I will lokk at Promax’s website for package options though. Thanks.

I’m having similar problems although it’s very often hit or miss when I launch a project. In any case, how do I get a copy of Qt 6.5 (or 6.0)?

    I think so,

but let’s pretend I’m an idiot so we can be sure. How do I check or perform an audio mixdown?

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOU ADVICE!

Bob’s recent post was correct. Wasn’t aware of the slight differences in the pot levels between gear, but the problem was with the patch panel. I had a tascam pb-32p patch panel, an unbalanced panel that wasn’t delivering a high enough signal. So I picked up a Behringer PX-1000 and some balanced 1/4″ cables and the signals are fine now. Not the best sound expert here so all the advice has been a good learning experience from here on out. Thanks again guys and take care.

    OK,

I have confirmed that the io and the eurorack are both fine. So it has to be either the tascam patch panel or the particualar 1/4 jumper patches. I’m trying to get some info on it, but could the patch cables I use cause the problem? could they be weak signal connectors.

    Thanks for responding.

Did what you said and the io is fine. I’m guessing it has to be the Eurorack board. The tascam patch panel has no controls and no power. I have zero-ed out all channels and balance. It just seems like it needs some additional trim and the eurorack just doesn’t provide. I’ll do some more research, but if you have an idea, let me know. Thanks.

    Thanks for the response,

what I’m getting from you is that as long as I don’t “force” screw the cable into the deck side remote, I’ll be ok. True?

    thanks for the response.
