Chances are that they did.
Perhaps it’s time for someone to develop
the Nurial-Link Scrambler. Maybe the macrovision guys

Just a thought. Sounds like you have tried various media only to have problems with them all. The common denominator is your burner. Perhaps it has a problem. I would search google to see if others are having problems with the same model that I have. I would also do some research to find a model that people are real happy with.
The good news is that the pricing for DVD Burners has never been better.

Vegas 8 will include a new breakthrough technology called
Nuriul-Link. It will free the editor from having to read manuals,
or learn how to use the program. It ties in directly to your brain waves via the Nuriul-Link interface which in turns inputs and interprits what you want to create. If you can picture it in your mind Vegas 8 will do the rest for you 🙂 -
VASST still has them. Top of page “free resources” then go down to
Sony Vegas+DVD Software and select. You will then arrive at the first page of many tutorials and Veggies mixed together.You can also use the homepages search tool to find veggies and tutorials that might interest you.

If you have one of those media files that is not extremly large
perhaps you could email it to me and I will play with it and see if I can find a useful workflow.How large is the filesize of a clip that will not work?

I can assure you that Vegas does not randomly choose to not open certain avi’s. You are trying to either open a file for which you do not have the codec installed ( mjpg for example ) or a file type that Vegas does not support.
Do a google search for a program called gspot. It can examine your problem file and tell you what codec is needed to play it and if the needed codec is presently installed.
gspot is a free tool.

Can’t speak for everything on their website concerning ad-ware.
However, before posting I downloaded the codec myself and installed and scanned it.
I found no ad-ware with it. I scanned it with AVG Antivirus and
Ad-aware 2007.B>[jonathan hay] “Will all of them work with sony vegas or do I have to do something special?”
I don’t think you need to do anything at all to use the codec for
decoding (playback). However, for encoding you may need to go into custom settings to find the codec.Perhaps someone else that has rendered to this format could give you better instructions.

Hi Jonathan,
Here is a link to a free program that can examine your file
and tell you what codec is needed to play it.
Download the latest version. I don’t think it even has an installer
you just unzip the file and go to the directory that you unzipped to and double click on the gspot.exe file. By the way, that is the name of the program, gspot.Let us know if this helps you. If not we will try somthing else.
