Sorry Will, I meant “General” (misread the tab), thought it was a codec issue so just asking you to check if Vegas is using “compoundplug.dll” to decode MP4s and “qt7.dll” to decode MOVs, in which it is for MP4.
Like John said, Vegas may dislike custom resolutions and although AVC allows videos to have such resolutions, anywhere from importing those files into Vegas to rendering may be affected, I’ve been through it myself
although it was GPU acceleration that caused problems.
I’ve tried importing your uploaded MP4 in Vegas 11 (build_683/x64) with no problems when GPUA was off, when it was on, BSOD – first time actually, never had anything that serious before with my MP4s…
If you really need to retain full original quality, convert your source videos to lossless like Lagarith, otherwise go with John’s MJPEG suggestion.
