    Hi John,

What about the arrow keyboard keys – did they work? Also what version of Vegas Pro are you using? I Tried what Tim suggested and found that I was not able to change the height of the audio track independently from the video (in the trimmer). By grabbing the top of the video track I could reduce the size of both tracks. If I made them as short as possible, then the mouse wheel did not zoom the tracks. I did find that you had to click in the trimmer track to permit the mouse wheel zooming. if you clicked anywhere else in the trimmer window (e.g. on the video pane or on either side of the video window the mouse wheel would not zoom the track.

Have you tried the up/down keyboard arrows – do they work? They do for me.

    Hi John,

Maybe I’m missing something or don’t understand your question, or the responses by Eli and Graham, but I zoom the trimmer for both video and audio all the time. I’ve been using Vegas Pro for over 15 years – started with version 4 (I think), and have always used the trimmer to find the first frame of a clip I need to add to the timeline. Mouse wheel zooms both the main timeline and the trimmer.

Super 8 film was shot at 18 fps. I generally capture film at 18 fps. Is the audio in sync when played from the timeline? When you say it was dubbed, how was that done – audio added in Vegas while video playing on the timeline or something else?

    Hi Jonny,

    Two things:

    1) Try 18 fPs?,

    2) If the amount of “out of sync” is constant over the entire video, try slipping the audio with respect to the video.

Were the audio and video recorded with the same recorder (e.g. camera only – not camera and tape recorder)?

Maybe some antivirus or other security issue on your computer is causing the problem. J just logged on to respond to your post with no problem. I am using a VPN (which causes problems with many websites but not here), or maybe you are already logged on?

    Hi John,

I hate to ask the obvious, but did you install after you downloaded the update?

    Hi Roger,

Checkout something like SnagIt (Techsmith) – I think they have a version which creates video from the screen – Camtasia. While it is possible to animate in Vegas, it can be tedious.
