Posted by John Perez on March 31, 2022 at 9:46 pmHow come I can’t zoom into my timeline in the trimmer?

March 31, 2022 at 9:54 pmAs far as I’m aware, aside from audio, you can’t… I certainly haven’t been able to when working with video.

April 1, 2022 at 2:53 amWhy do you think you can? Trimmer only handles Events, not Timeline. So, no, you can’t do that.

April 1, 2022 at 3:08 amHi John,
Maybe I’m missing something or don’t understand your question, or the responses by Eli and Graham, but I zoom the trimmer for both video and audio all the time. I’ve been using Vegas Pro for over 15 years – started with version 4 (I think), and have always used the trimmer to find the first frame of a clip I need to add to the timeline. Mouse wheel zooms both the main timeline and the trimmer.

April 1, 2022 at 3:24 amYou’re correct. However, John has asked if he is able to Zoom in on the Timeline FROM the Trimmer, and that’s not possible. As I said, Trimmer deals with single Events.

April 1, 2022 at 6:33 amI don’t mean being able to zoom onto the main timeline, I meant zooming in to just the trimmer “timeline.” Sorry I wasn’t clear about this . Anyway, I can seem to change the way I manipulate the clip in the trimmer. Is there some button I have accidentally clicked on that is preventing me from doing so? I hope this is clearer…
