I’m using a desktop PC for MC only. I have a 23″ screen which is set up as my primary monitor and a 19″ screen which is secondary. Yes, I identified them correctly. It does not even matter if the resolutions are set the same or not. I’d like to expand the MC main window on the primary screen and drag the Bin windows onto the secondary screen.

Another related question: Is there a software that makes it possible to “detach” the embedded Bin windows and drag them across the Windows desktop, independent of the Avid MC main window? That would solve my problem…

I set the screens to the same rez; sorry for not mentioning that. They’re just capable of different resolutions. Anyways, the mentioned Windows seem to be sticky, while I can bin’s and project window around. But those also seem to be reset when I drag them beyond a certain point.

September 20, 2009 at 7:28 am in reply to: Can I see an Audio Sample Plot in my source monitor?Bryan, just use the Toggle Source / Record button and you’ll see the sample plot of the audio clip loaded into the source monitor:
You then can set In / Out points and splice or overwrite it in your timeline as usual. The button is mapped to the ESC key in the default setup, which in my opinion is not very handy; I mapped it to the Z key on a QWERTZ keyboard.

And here are the next 46 or so tutorials:
