Thanks for telling me. I had an extra period at the end of the url. Try these:

Almost any web host will provide enough space for small movie files. Your choice of a host will depend in part on whether you want to “stream” the movies or have people download the files to their computers and then play them.

I chose to do the latter, and have two short downloadable movies here if you want to see how they work:

I made them Vegas and rendered as .wmv files.

After the burning timed out there was red bar at lower right of DVDA that said:
“Disc Space Used: 9.6GB”. Is this why my burns are failing?
    Original estimated size was 5.9GB.
    Can someone explain this?

I upgraded the firmware on my brand spanking new Pioneer DVR 110D (seems weird you have to upgrade new equipment.

I changed the Secondary IDE channel to DMA – it had been set on PIO because that is the only setting my previous burner, Pioneer AO4, would work on – rebooted and prepared the files again and tried burning again with DVDA3 and it stalled at 36%.

Changed the IDE channel back to PIO, rebooted, prepared program again and burned again. “Estimated size = 5.9GB, 70% of 8GB disc”. Burned 99% in 41 minutes and stalled at “Burning Lead Out”. Timed out. Another expensive coaster.

Am downloading Nero upgrade and will try burns tomorrow with Nero on my two remaining DVD+R DL discs and then will order -R if the +R still don’t work.

    Anyone feeling my pain?

Thanks, BigD. I did a reboot, tried Nero and got the same error, “Compilation won’t fit onto a blank disc”.

Excellent! I had been changing the background in the dropdown menu in the properties window. I didn’t realize I could drag ‘n’ drop background images from the Explorer window onto pages. Great solution. Onward.

    Thanks, Edward, that works fine.

Now, do you know of a way I can get that file into the Backgrounds bin so that I can drag and drop it onto pages?

Well, my question was not about opening a background – I did that by simply dragging a stock background from the background bin – but how to save it as a background, so it shows up in the bin with other backgrounds, once it has been modified. How so I save it?

Thanks for the idea of using a hard drive, Steve. That makes good sense and will avoid the whole DLT issue.
