Matthew, you are right that it copies the event plus event keyframes, but it does not bring along track keyframes, which is what I want to do. I know that I can cut and past them, but just duplicating a track is a much more elegant solution – except that then I can’t change text on one track without affecting the others. A solution is welcome.

Thanks for you quick reply. I have used that method of making copies of text events, but in this case I want to also copy the related Track keyframes by duplicating the track. Is there a way to duplicate a track without it being “referenced” to the original? So that changes can be made independent of the original track?

And I also have keyframes on the text events so they change color as they fly around. Changing colors on any of the duplicated tracks changes it on all.

I recently used the method Gary described to highlight the mane of a horse that was loping around a round pen. First I put in keyframes about every 15 frames and then went back and added keyframes between those as needed. Worked perfectly.
