I’m trying to copy a frame on the clipboard in the preview window to paste on the timeline and then stretch out for a still scene. I click the copy icon, then click on the timeline where I want to paste, hit Ctrl+V and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Save the snapshot which will automatically add it to the Media Pool. Then just add it to the timeline from the media pool.

Thanks for workaround. Then am I to understand that the Copy to Clipboard function doesn’t work?

No. It works fine. It copies the image to the clipboard. You can then go to your paint program and paste it into a new picture. However, you CAN’T paste it directly to the timeline.

    Aha. Thanks for the clarification.

Vegas has to have a refference to a file…that’s why you have to save the snapshot as a file then put that file on the timeline.

    Thanks for explaining that, Ted.
