Thanks, Matte, that explains it. One more question on this, say I do happen to run PLAYBACK into the black uncoded zone, if I then rewind onto coded tape before switching back to RECORD will the camera pick up from the previous timecode?

When in doubt read the help files. I answered my own question: Select a media bin before capturing.
Is there a big advantage to using Media Bins over Explorer?

I tried Nero and others and recommend Sonic RecordNow. Simple drag n’ drop, never a problem and the $30 Deluxe version will burn dual layer.

I have the Pioneer 110 and after hours of frustration and forum searching I bought the $30 version of Record Now for burning and have had no DL burning problems since. Prepare in DVDA3, Drag, Drop, Burn.

Couldn’t the red lines be achieved by using Track Motion Border on the top video track?

Thanks, Darrellv, I had read that portion of HELP but saw no reference to burning each layer to separate DLTs.
Perhaps when the software “interrupts the mastering process to prompt you to choose a break point” it will have written the first layer to DLT and I will have a chance to change tapes to write the second layer to a new tape?
Groping here. I’ll experiment in the light of day tomorrow and see if I can figure it out. Thanks again for your reply.

Klimvid, go to File/Properties and change “Initial Subtitle Track” to OFF, instead of default. Now go have some lunch.

I’ve got a glitch in my brain, Edward. If you have a copy of the finished DVD from which to make copies, why would you also need the VIDEO_TS AND AUDIO_TS? Wouldn’t you need just one or the other?
