I have Gary’s architect 3 dvd tutorial and it is great. However, I seem to be doing something wrong in dual layer burning and its costing me as these aeren’t cheap.I have 3 coasters now so getting pretty frustrated.
Normal dvds burn fine.Using the new pioneer 110 and for the first attempt I let achitect decide where the split occurred and the second time was going to (if asked) decide myself). The whole thing goes well right to the burn 99% where it says that it is doing lead out and that it will take a few minutes to complete.Well it just hangs and after the first 2 “cancels on my part thought that maybe it is in fact just slow so gave it almost an hour where as it ejected the dvd and simply said it timed out.I am using good discs-infinity dvdplus r dl. so doubt it is the media. Also have the update patch for the new burner but as i mentioned before it burns single discs just fine so doubt it has anything to do with the burner.I also have ulead workshop 2 and am going to try the dual on that but thought that someone might have come accross this before- i really do like architect and the bigger disc is really appealing to me.
    Anyone got any ideas????

Thanks for your comment on my DVD set.
I’m not sure what to suggest. I have two of the same burners as yours and have not seen this problem.

i too have the pioneer and it has NEVER been able to burn a DL or any + dvd single layer using DVDa3c .. it burns – DVD’s all the time…
on DL it too reaches 99% complete but cannot burn the lead out..
i did burn a DL using a Nec DL burner with DVDa3b and when i upgraded to DVDa3c it no longer can burn DL on the NEC .. if you go over to sony forums you’ll find many ( well actually i haven’t heard of anybody burning a DL on pioneer 100/110/610 using DVDA3) with same story.

THanks for the info.It has to be a conflict with architect.I have ulead workshop2 and roxio-both of which are” suppose” to burn dual layer.I am going to try these and report my findings back but thanks again for the info- i thought it must have been something to do with what i had done-relieved at least on that one.

I have the Pioneer 110 and after hours of frustration and forum searching I bought the $30 version of Record Now for burning and have had no DL burning problems since. Prepare in DVDA3, Drag, Drop, Burn.
