Stay 32-bit and use adjustment layers with selections.

By definition, a tonemapped image can’t be raw. But you can keep it 32-bit and use exposure adjustments with masks

It’s not a recipe. Completely depends on lighting in scene, time of day, etc.

Change render settings to a codec tht supports an alpha then turn it on (like animation or DPX)
