    Hi Kevin,

If you just set your cloner to “Object” and then reference a sphere that should do the trick, make sure you set it to “volume” if you want the sphere filled, then use whatever effectors you want to get them from point a to b =) or b to a O.o

I would contact Maxon support, you will find they are fast and friendly, as they should be after paying so much for the software! =)

I think the Duplicate command was what you were looking for, and rotation set to either Z.

I checked out the file, I am a little confused though about what it is exactly you’re trying to accomplish.

I would use a combination of thinking particles and mograph, use a thinking particles emitter then use a mograph cloner object set to object, then drag the particle group into the object field, drag as many different shapes you want and make them all children of the cloner object.

If I had a better understanding of what you were trying to accomplish and your file i could be more helpful, off the top of my head though it might work to use a mograph matrix object then clone off of that.

Just guessing here, but if there is any kind of stroke on the text from AI then you will end up with 2 splines close together make it look wrong when you extrude, so check for strokes and open paths, the only other way would be to have the client provide the font file so then you can use motext.

and I am guessing that he’s throwing it in a fracture object so he can still use mograph effectors? maybe.

Well, I found something that looks.. ok. by using the fusion shader with 2 different noise channels. I am still open to any other suggestions though! =)

assuming you actually purchased Boujou for this… I would say that you’re mad to spend $10K on motion tracking software if this is what you’re using it for, Foundary’s camera tracker would work just as well if not better for simple text placement. that said, you’re obviously getting a terrible track with Boujou, you will need to keep trying to get the text to stick, but that’s all I know since I can’t afford $10K for that software…

  • More than likely a couple ways to do that, I would just use an arc spline and toss it into a lathe nurbs, then play with the start angle and end angle, then add thickness by tossing that into a cloth nurbs.
