I have used cut4 both for streaming and for live to tape broadcast content. It works great you can insert video clips, titles and graphics. I use firewire extenders up to 150 feet for up to 4 cameras.
I heard of some wireless adapters (5k each) but they do not work more (depending on your cameras,i use sony z1 and hd1000) than 200 feet and are very unreliable. Your best bet is cat5 wire and firewire extenders. There are issues with jvc cameras on cut4 because of the way the use firewire. best bet are sony and panny’s
I heard that there is a new cut4 version comming out soon.Good luck
Cheers

Never had a problem with my app switcher. I connect to 4 firewire cards without a problem. It works better than most hardware switchers in the same proceline but adds quite a few extras. I use 4 z1 cameras, and have 4 preview monitros and a program monitor. Tricasters cannot do that unless you have the tdz 300 one. I can insert video, have 7 pip windows, graphics ,
My system with program, computer and cards cost about $2800.00 If you want hd with decklink cards hd/sdi its about $4000.
With both you get broadcast quality video. You can record to external deck or any hdd, and have an external monitor.
I have done live to tape sports like voleibol and Boxing for direct tv. no problem at all. I also do some talking heads content.
This has most of the funcionality of broadcast pix and most tricasters.
If you got the money then then get a tricaster they are great but for your prsent needs i would take a look at avtake.com

You can check an app switcher. It will fully comply with your current needs at a fraction of the price.
You can connect 4 cameras via hdv, component, composite or hd/sdi depending on you needs and the product you choose. You have a lot of the functionality of a newtek system (which are great)You can insert graphivs, titles, videos, pip, and more works ntsc/pal interlaced and progresive. external monitor, record to hdd or deck. plus stream to internet at the same time.
All for much less than 10k. latter if you want you can get the newtek switchher.

The software I mentiones in my previous post aone will give you a simle but powerful solution for a simple hd studio.
I advise you to check for software solution that are available
for color example:Color correction:
https://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/ultrascope/brodacasting and data management:
https://www.cinegy.com/jml/index.phpAudio:
Avid pro tools or Sonar producer
All of these if not all can be run on workstation class computers and decklink cards
With all you can save you can invest in good cameras and led lighting for far less than you’d think.
You might still need som hardware but stay from them if you can.

Check avtake.com
they have a hd 4 camera mixer. its software using deckilnk cards. it’s workflow similar to a low end broadcastpix or tricaster but the video is superb. With hardware it could cost you close to 4k but will give you more than any hard panel system in that price range and higher.
All monitors are in the program but you can add an external monitor for clients.
You can insert video clips, images, titles from the hard drive.
If you use photoshop or gimp for titles the system automaticaly updates it on the program monitor. You can recored to hdd in avi or mpeg while streaming multigraph video to the internet on any encoder, you can also use external mointor or projector.
This will also up and down convert on the fly and works progresive and interlaced from 720×480 up to 1080.
They have a trial but the sd and hd version only work if you have at least 1 decklink or bm card. the dv version is firewire they all have the same interface.

They are 2 different apps that basically do the same thing.
Liquid with all its great stuff is dead in the water Avid is the defacto app for high end projects (not that there not others)
As a liquid user you got about16 days to upgrade to avid MC5 (via MC4) for less than $500.00 which includes about 3k in other app.avid
inmop most of liquids technology will eventually show up in some way in avid. Have you checked mc5.
Avid has some great stuff unparalleled in any other app.
Don’t lose this, its to good to be true opportunity, upgrade now and ask later.
