Would appreciate pro’s and cons of moving from Liquid to media composer – have been using liquid for about 7 years and am considering changing as (aside from decreasing support and redundency) am finding it increasingly unstable – hanging, rebooting for no reason etc.
    thanks Clive

They are 2 different apps that basically do the same thing.

Liquid with all its great stuff is dead in the water Avid is the defacto app for high end projects (not that there not others)

As a liquid user you got about16 days to upgrade to avid MC5 (via MC4) for less than $500.00 which includes about 3k in other app.avid

inmop most of liquids technology will eventually show up in some way in avid. Have you checked mc5.

Avid has some great stuff unparalleled in any other app.

Don’t lose this, its to good to be true opportunity, upgrade now and ask later.

We run Avid Liquid in our DVD authoring suite, and Media Composer in our 4 Edit suites.
There is no comparison. RUN to get a copy of Media Composer. With it’s bundled software, it can do everything liquid can, and then about a million times more.
