    Great thanks, two follow ups.

How do I “nest” the project?

The TC filter is where exactly?

    Thanks

It’s ok it suddenly started working, even though it keeps asking for those missing render files. I just click ok.

But before that it would not open the project fully.

I don’t know what I did???? But some how it got fixed when I opened the project with FCP already open.

    Thanks

Oh never mind, thanks any way.

I’ll run it through Premiere and import the QT into FCP.

    Hey it works 🙂

The first problem I encounter is that the demo shows a multi coloured menu coming up in the viewer that says:

    Insert
    Overwrite
    Replace
    Fit To Fill
    Superimpose

I follow his steps but I don’t get that menu. I’m in FCP 4, is that a function of FCP 5?

Ok I did that, thanks. Now what?

I still don’t see any credits and FCP has not placed a render bar over the shot.

I double click the shot I want to key the titles over to bring it into my viewer, then I hit the “A” in the bottom right of the viewer, then I scrolled down to “title crawl”.

I window pops open where I can type the credits, I type them, and hit “apply.”

    But then what? Nothing happens??????

    Thanks

I’m in the same boat, I have eight hours of video loaded in. So it takes auto save too much time to work. At least 30 seconds to run.

As for the built in help….I’m going to do a test a see which is faster? This forum or the built in help.

    R,

[walter biscardi] “Most of my projects are huge and it can stop the production process for up to 30 seconds to a minute on our documentary projects. So yes, it can be annoying. I’ve never used Auto Save in the 5+ years of running FCP as I always have my left hand on the keyboard so I just naturally hit Apple+S all the time.”

[walter biscardi] “It’s very straightforward in the manual.”

But the manual is holding up the couch in the edit suite.

    Thanks

I used the Vulcan mind meld with Premiere and learned it in 22 seconds. Why can’t Apple do that?

    R,

[zrb123] “Just think back to when you first used premire, probably lots of questions then to.
