Yep, I know the problem with a “DeckLink Extreme”.
For me the solution is opening “Blackmagic Deck Control” en hit play, so the video out is enabled again.
Jump back to FCP and everything works again. -
Your computer monitor is in sync with the computer audio.
The Blackmagic video is in sync with the Blackmagic audio.
You can’t have them all sync. -
What do you expect to see?
If you are on a mac you could set (in System Preferences)the decklink card to display “Single Field Out When Paused”Richard

Yes, I know, but sometimes you unintentionally switch it (that’s what happens to me sometimes).
But… you’re Video Playback settings aren’t stored in your project!
You can change it, and next time you open FCP it comes back with the settings you left FCP with.
Easy Setup will store and recall the settings of Video Playback.
The bug is gone in FCP 5. The black stripes are only in the Analog output. The firewire and SDI output are clean. -
Let me guess. Is it a DV project and you are watching your video through the Decklink card?
Then you probably have to change “Video Playback” to “Blackmagic NTSC – 8 Bit” -

In my version of FCP( 🙂 ) both are consistent, in setting as well as in properties: Lower Field

Not so strange that your nested sequences are changing fields.
“Clock face DV Anamorphic F1” has Field Dominance: Upper, while “DV Clock Field 1 nested” has Field Dominance: Lower!! -
Did you try Window > Arrange > e.g. Dual Screen – Editing?
