Thanks! We were also able to find a work around just now by exporting an additional XML containing only the audio. Which I then copy and paste back into the sequence and sync with the video. They are two separate clips in the bin until you relink them and shift + Alt drag the original clip back down to replace them on the timeline which effectively merges them back into one clip linked to the original media. Pain in the butt but it works.

Brad, did you ever figure this out? I have the same issue.

I know this is an old thread but someone may search it looking for answers. Push Control/Alt/Delete and open the task manager. Check under Processes and see if the Adobe Premier Pro.exe is still open after you close the program. If so, stop the process and the app will open from the shortcut without doing a restart. Several folks are having issues with this. Not sure why.

Well, the issue is back. Not sure why. Windows has updated again. I have made sure all my drivers are up to date but I am still getting the .exe process continuing to run after the program is closed.

Thanks for the reply Stan. I guess it is aggravating because I send multiple small projects out of Premier directly to Encore via dynamic link. I just need a simple plug and play disc but every single time I have to set the menu button options, ending action and name the project. If it would simply default to “stop” and name the project to match the asset being imported it would save me a lot of time. The same with the quality presets. Seems like such a simple thing to allow the program to remember your settings from one project to the next. Guess I’ll file a feature request. Thanks

For the benefit of anyone searching for this problem later I was able to solve the issue by simply updating my NVIDIA drivers. I’m guessing that a recent WINDOWS update was not compatible with my older NVIDIA driver and caused a conflict somewhere along the line.

I’m going to guess that since no one seems to know anything about this it is probably a compatibility issue with my drives….. Strange thing is that it is intermittent. Saving out an image and burning the DVD with ImgBurn works fine. Just bugs the heck out of me to pay good money for a program and not have it function properly.

Alright I was finally able to answer my own question. It is yes, up to 16 channels I believe. The audio output mapping needs to be done when you set up a new sequence.

Well since no one replied I’m going to guess that I have to monitor the audio on an external source since Blackmagic’s site said they don’t play audio on the system speakers. This seems very strange.

The Camera came out after CS4 so I doubt it is compatible without some sort of conversion process. Maybe via the Adobe Media Encoder. Some people are also using Sorenson Squeeze to convert them to a usable format.
