Reboot to start Premiere Pro
Recently, I have had to reboot my computer for Premiere Pro CS6 to start. It won’t start from the desktop shortcut (which I deleted and made another), the file location or open from a Project file.

Can you see if “C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS6\Adobe Premiere Pro.exe” exists? When you try to run it from there, what happens? Any other CS6 apps start? (Encore?) The simplest advice is of course to reinstall Pr however before that it’d be good to check that the file system is healthy.

I know this is an old thread but someone may search it looking for answers. Push Control/Alt/Delete and open the task manager. Check under Processes and see if the Adobe Premier Pro.exe is still open after you close the program. If so, stop the process and the app will open from the shortcut without doing a restart. Several folks are having issues with this. Not sure why.
