Use the Base80 example it works fine for this. You need a rail to difine what way is up thats all.

Here is an example of a rail spline in this thread.

    Here is a tutorial:

Here is what my xpresso looked like I used Base 80 align and added some comtrols for the shaft growth. Its a user data slider that drives everything. The range mapper has both in and out puts pet to percentage and out bottom is a t 5%. Everything seemed to work.

  • In the object manager “current state object” it will make a copy with out deformers.

I am not sure exactly what you mean… You can effect particles but not control them directly. (Mograph is a bit of an exception).

You have several objects do you want them to be the particles? or turn into particles? or have particles come off of them?…. the example video looks like the logo was the object for a Matrix object w/TP that used an effector to start with then a wind and gravity node animated with the constrain.

Or they made the pile, made it a single object and the logo one object and used the pblurb to go from one to the other.

That can be done a few ways first glace it looks like a PFrag played backwards. You could achieve this with Mograph and TP too. And depending on how much control you need Pblurb can handle this too….

They have a quick and free tutorial using PF hoe that shows a little bit about it.
I know Josh did a full composite start to finish in his… But you need a subscription to it.
C4Dcafe has loads of good tutorials about most things….not match moving though.’
C4d portal has the best rigging tutorials.

there are loads of good free tutorials all over…

AE will cover some of the tracking but certainly not all. Not sure what relevant info you are looking for.
Josh Johnson did some tracking tutorials for cineversity recently thats probably your best bet.

The compositing options in Cinema are fine for most applications. However you will need a 3rd party tracking aplication like syntheyes of PF hoe/track…..

No you can not group them. Select them and connect object. They do not need to touch each other or be bridged or anything like that.

The snapping thing is a Priority conflict. CInema is reading your Spline dynamics then your expresso. By selecting the tags (one at a time) you will see a priority option in the attributes manager. Since they are both defualt too zero Cinema reads the one highest up in the hierarchy. So make the Zero on Spline dynamics a One.

Spline dynamics will not let you move the points because its simulating. You need to control the movement with other means like wind or turbulence.

Also the Kinks you have in your strings are because you dont have enough subdivision. In point mode select all the points and right click choose subdivide… a small number will due.

And I thing you are using a Sweep Nurbs for the string and Lathe Nurbs for the Balloon.
