What do you think about the 1080 on the HDX900. Do the 720 chips upconvert OK to 1080?
Is there anywhere that I could see a comparison of the same scene shot with these 2 resolutions off of the HDX900?
Do both settings (720 and 1080) work equally well at 24P or 24pA respectively.

I am getting ready to something similar.Shooting HDX900 and using HD1400 and Final Cut via Firewire.
I am trying to determine the settings I want to use before I shoot a frame of video.
    I am debating between 1080/29.97P or 720/29.97P
Will there be any issues with firewire or any other gotchas with this?
How well does the “in camera” 1080 upconversion work from the 720 native chips? Does it look better than the native 720?

    Thanks,
I just figured out when shooting HD, I will only get 16 minutes recording time from a AJ-P66MP tape.
I don’t think the 126 is a Medium cassette is it? I need it to fit in the HDX900 which uses a Medium cassette. If they make a medium size that is definitly what I want to get. Who is the best source for tape, if I am allowed to ask that question?
On the HDX900 spec sheet it mentions this tape “AJ-HP33EMG “.
That will allow for 33 min HD recording. But I have only been able to find it in Canada.

You could try this little app for $60
It does Vector Keying as a QuickTime plugin.

    Thanks for the response.
I am also in need of particle emiters like the Soap Bubbles in Combustion and other Water and under water effects. I couldn’t see much of this type of emitters on the web site.
    Does PI 3 have these?

Ditto on the auto scrolling timeline. you should be able to toggle this on or off as desired.

One more small thing… Coming from an Avid background I miss the fade effect and i don’t mean dissolve.
Avid editors you know what I mean.
Kind of like the plug in from Digital Heaven. DH-Fade. This should be standard.
It can be a real time saver.
