    Hello Mike & Allen,

I have Vegas Pro8 on my PC.
I was just checking what you have stated
    Options > Prefs > General.
Deselect the “Enable DV device control” option.

I don’t see “DV device control”
Where exactly is that located? or how is it phrased?

    Hi Mike & Steve,

That’s what I thought. The company gives the workers the basic computer in order to get their job done and that’s it. I’, just glad it wasn’t me, Vegas Pro8 and my editing skills.

    Thanks,

June 16, 2008 at 6:16 pm in reply to: Question on what Microphone to use for class?

    Hello Ty,

The Classroom already has a speaker hook up. I’ll be showing a training slide presentation in powerpoint and I want my voice to be heard over the speaker system while I’m showing the slide presentation. By connecting the projector to the VGA of the computer, I have my slide show with sound. If I connect a mic to the mic input of the computer, I’ll get my voice over the speaker system. Right or wrong?
When I go to work I’ll experiment and see what I have.
I hope I summed it up a little better for you.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for the reply. Do you prefer the “Dolby Digital AC-3 Pro or the Dolby Digital AC-3 Studio” when burning DVD’s? What’s the difference between the two?

    Thanks

    Hi Jim,

Purchase dual layer disk. If it’s to long, don’t forget an intermission.

    Hi Anthony,

I’ve composed and edited a Video in Sony Vegas 8, and at a certain part, it goes completely black.
    (THE AUDIO DOES KEEP PLAYING)

You might want to try view that portion of video on your camcorder off of your tape. If you can’t see that portion that you recorded from your tape, then you have a bad tape. If you can view that portion from you recorded tape, then try to recapture into your computer.

    Ed,

WOW! I just came home from work and see a new group of Sony Vegas leaders. I’ve been with Sony Vegas since Vegas 4 and you have helped me a lot which is an understatement. I like to thank you so much for all the help you’ve given me and to others out there in the Sony Vegas Community. I wish you the very best my Illinois friend and continued great success with Excalibur. Being from Chicagoland area, I see my buddy Allen has joined the Sony Vegas Leadership and like to welcome each and everyone of you aboard. I already have a question, but I think I’ll wait 🙂

The Very Best to you ED.
