    Bob Zelin an Matt Stone,

I love it. You guys have a “Great Imagination”. I enjoyed watching you guys have fun. How many takes did it take? Nice car. Bob and Matt, I’ll see you in the future at NAB. Now back to work. What goes on in Vegas, stays in Vegas, LOL.

    Hi John,
I don’t know what his thinking was. I thinking that I can buy 2 Asus ProArt PA246Q monitors for the price of 1 NEC or even an EIZO monitor. If you and Thayalan are satisfied with the Asus monitors, then I’ll go with that and order 1 to start. According to the specs, it seems like a great monitor for the money.

    Hi Guys,
Thanks for responding and John, that’s the monitor I’m leaning towards, the Asus PA246Q. I called B&H and talked to a sales rep who tried to talk me into buying a NEC monitor for around $800. As soon as B&H reopen from passover, I’ll probably order the Asus. John, I know you used a different case, I bought a corsair 650D which I love. I can’t wait to crank this puppy up.

    Here’s my system:
    Corsair 650D case
    Corsair AX850 Power Supply
    Asus P9X79 PRO Motherboard
    CPU: Intel Core I7 3930K 3.2GHz
Cooling System: Corsair H100 liquid cooling
    32 GB RAM
Video Card: Nvidia Quadro 4000 Card
Optical Drive: Pioneer Combo Drive for Blue Ray, Burning, Reading and Dual Layer.
Crucial 256GB Solid State Drive (SSD) for Operating System only
Western Digital 1TB 10,000 RPM Hard Drive for my Programs
Western Digital 1TB 7,200 RPM Hard Drive for my Music
Western Digital 2TB 7,200 RPM Hard Drive for my Photos and Video
External Thermaltake HUB and Western Digital 1TB 7,200 RPM Hard Drive for Misc.

  • Hi Guys,

I always enjoyed talking to Bob Zelin and meeting people, exchanging thoughts, and just relaxing after a long day at NAB. That’s what it’s all about while drinking a beer. Thanks for the invitation Bob and I’ll see you there.

March 2, 2013 at 8:23 am in reply to: Why NAB is relevant in the social media age

    Hi Rich and Lance,
I agree with both of you. A one stop shop to see the latest, talk to the representatives from that particular company, and get familiar with the equipment on display. Plus, make new friends from around the world. We can’t forget about the training sessions, some you pay for and the free training sessions are on the exhibitors floor (Sony for example). Don’t forget the parties, some you have to be invited to and others you need to register in advance. Lance, if I get time I’ll stop by the AJA booth to say hi.
    Enjoy NAB 2013

February 18, 2013 at 4:52 pm in reply to: What to do at NAB

    Hi Spencer,

There’s a lot to do at NAB 2013. There’s training sessions, exhibits to view, talk to the experts about your wants and needs, etc.
Most of the exhibitors are there to explain to you about their newly released products that are available to you to purchase from their web sites and/or stores and some give you discounts. Some exhibitors are there to sell their products at NAB. Here’s a link for you to get started on your research of exhibitors that will attend NAB 2013:

February 12, 2013 at 8:03 am in reply to: NAB Discount Codes?

    Hi Eric,

I have not heard of any discount codes except for getting into the exhibits only. You have to register and use code: 2013
This will save you the $150 fee.

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for your response and I thought that might me my problem. I have Vegas Pro 12 sitting here and not yet installed it because I’m in the process of building a new computer. This gives me the big push to get my butt in gear and get it done.

Thanks guys and see you in Vegas for NAB.
