Thank you, Dave. As I wrote the bit depth of the project is 16 Bit. And DNxHD HQ (10BIT) export works with trillions of colors. It is only DNxHR where I cannot get HQX or 444????
Please could you try it with your AE?

    Thank you

February 12, 2013 at 1:09 pm in reply to: Sony FS 700 slow motion and external recorder

    Hi Eric,

thank you for answering. But as you suggested I have to record in progressive mode. And this is the problem (I guess).
Gemini is able to record the 240 frames per second 1080p/50 output over 3G. But which kind of signal is coming out of the 3G port if the camera is set to 720p/480 slow motion mode? I guess the output will be 720p/50 or? And as far as I know no external recorder is able up to know to records this? Or am I wrong?

    Hi Ted,

sorry. But I never worked with US3D. I am recording on 2 x Nanoflashes or Hypershuttles. This works.

But I would be glad if we keep in touch to share knowledge.

The clip names are starting with 20.000 for the left eye (20.001; 20.002….) and the right eye clips are starting with 30.000.
The TC is ascending. But unfortunately the start TC of a stereo pair varies about a few frames. Cause it has been filmed with Nanoflashes that haven’t been in stereo mode. So one or the other recorder started a little bit earlier as the other.

    Any ideas???
    Thanks

It has never been on a Symphony. It comes from MC 5.x. I am using the MC 5.5.3.

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately I cannot provide you with a hardcopy. I am sitting here at my Broadcasters set. No way to get something out.
But it is wired. Sometimes I get the green spot (the same as with motion clips) and a green line under the clip. Some minutes later the old icon for color correction. I cannot find a rule when I get what.
    Any ideas????

    Brian, thanks for the info.
Did someone ever made a test with a cable splitter? I’ve been told LANC is a bi- directional protocol. The remote gives a command and is waiting for an acknowledgment from the camera. But with two cameras there will come two acknowledgments. Is this right?
